We are pleased to announce the XIII International Congress of Acarology to be held from August 23 to 27, 2010, at Recife Palace Hotel, in the city of Recife, Brazil.

Recife Palace Hotel is located along the famous 7 km long "Boa Viagem" Beach. The hotel has been the venue of numerous national and international meetings similar to the International Congresses of Acarology.

Recife, the capital of the State of Pernambuco, is located in northeastern Brazil, exactly where the Beberibe and Capibaribe Rivers meet and flow into the Atlantic Ocean. It is partially composed of several islands and it is known as the Brazilian Venice. Recife offers excellent touristic infrastructure, including good hotels, restaurants and places to visit and enjoy. The nearby Guararapes International Airport connects Recife to several cities in Brazil and abroad.
